Have a cookie to tide you over ’til pie.

The upside of living alone:

I don’t have to share my pumpkin pie with anyone.

Pumpkin Pie all alone

The downside of living alone:

I don’t have anyone to share my pumpkin pie with.

And I’m pretty sure that “eating an entire pumpkin pie by yourself” doesn’t fall into the category of “Healthy Eating Habits.” Oh well. There’s not a lot that I can do about that, so I guess I’ll just go have another slice of pie.

I do love pie.

I’ve never tasted pumpkin pie! I find it hard to think of pumpkins as dessert material! We have pumpkin scones in Australia, but they’re not that sweet.

I’ve heard before that Australians don’t have the joy of pumpkin pie! It’s a slightly sweet, custardy pie – pumpkin mixed with eggs and milk. The key is the spices! ginger, cloves, and cinnamon. The Australian sweet that I’ve been eyeing on pinterest is the “vanilla slice.” That’s one that I’ve never had before!

Ooooh! I love vanilla slice (aka ‘snot block’) but they’re not very tidy to eat! Pumpkin pie sounds yummy – I’m tempted to experiment…

Tell me what you think!
